TiE University Pitch Finals 2025

Last Thursday, the TiE University Pitch Finals brought together seven inspiring student teams from across the Bay Area and beyond.

The Pitch Finals were filled with curiosity, creativity, and the unmistakable spark of young entrepreneurship.

Each team came prepared — armed with research, prototypes, user insights, and the courage to dream big. The result was an evening of thoughtful solutions, bold ideas, and memorable storytelling.

After a close and competitive round of judging, two teams were selected to advance to the Global Finals in Jaipur, India. But before we celebrate the winners, we want to shine a light on every team that took the stage.

Below is a showcase of all seven finalists — their ideas, missions, and the problems they aim to solve.

Their AI-powered sorting system uses machine learning and computer vision to detect, classify, and separate PPE waste automatically.
By improving safety, increasing speed, and enhancing recycling outcomes, Biodet offers a transformative solution for hospitals, labs, and waste-management facilities navigating the post-pandemic world.

Their work sits at the intersection of engineering and medicine, showing extraordinary promise.

A Big Round of Applause for All Teams

Each team brought more than just a pitch — they brought passion, perseverance, and purpose. Their ideas spanned multiple sectors:

The diversity of ideas is a testament to the strength of the TiE University ecosystem — where students grow not only as founders, but as problem-solvers and leaders.

The 2025 Pitch Finals showcased the best of what young innovators can achieve when given guidance, mentorship, and a platform to dream.
We are incredibly proud of every participant and deeply grateful to our mentors, judges, volunteers, and supporters.
